Marla Covey moved to Crested Butte with her sister in December of 1989.
After working in banking for 24 years, Marla resigned in 2014, taking
some time off to figure out what the next phase in her life will be. Marla
is currently working and volunteering in the valley which allows her to
learn new skills, increase her time for adventure, and freedom to travel.
She has always been involved in the community as she served on the board
for The Crested Butte Arts Festival and as Treasurer for many years. Marla
has also had the honor of working with many young women in the community
coaching the Crested Butte High School volleyball team.
Over 12 years ago, Marla, along with a friend, worked to expand the 9 Health
Fair to Crested Butte later evolving into the Gunnison Valley Health Wellness
Events. Marla is also a member of the Gunnison Valley Health Foundation
Board of Directors.
