About Melanie

Melanie Thomas is a Licensed Social Worker with a strong background in child and adolescent development, mental health, and crisis intervention. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a focus on child and adolescent development and mental health, along with a minor in Sociology, from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020. She went on to complete her Master of Social Work degree at Grand Canyon University in 2024.

Melanie has extensive training in crisis intervention and is trained in child-centered play therapy. Since 2023, she has worked as a mobile crisis clinician, providing critical support during mental health emergencies. She also gained hands-on experience as a therapist intern at Gunnison Elementary School and previously served as an intervention specialist at Axis Health System. In addition to her clinical roles, Melanie operates a private practice focused on supporting children and families, offering compassionate care to help them navigate life’s challenges.
