Gunnison Valley Health's Board of Trustees Announce New Chair

Don Haver​On January 21st, Gunnison Valley Health’s Board of Trustees elected Don Haver as Chair, Marla Covey as Vice Chair and Bruce Alpern will continue as Secretary - Treasurer.

Don Haver succeeds Ronda Connaway who announced her retirement as Chair of the Board of Trustees last month.

Ronda Connaway said, “It has been an honor to serve as Chair of the Board of Trustees for seven years and an active board member of the health system for 12 years. I am confident in our future and in Don’s leadership as we continue to grow and deliver exceptional healthcare services for our community.”

Living in Crested Butte, Don Haver has served as a member of the Board of Trustees since February 2014 and Vice Chair since 2015. Don’s strategic leadership experience, coupled with his passion for the community, will help accelerate the healthcare organization forward as it prepares for future growth.

“I am excited to lead Gunnison Valley Health’s Board of Trustees and work closely with the senior leadership team to further execute our mission and strategic goals,” said Mr. Haver. “Gunnison Valley Health has a strong future, and I look forward to supporting our quality healthcare services to help improve the health of our community.”

Gunnison Valley Health’s CEO Rob Santilli said under Ronda’s leadership, Gunnison Valley Health has been named as a Top 100 Hospital eight times, introduced new community programs and opened a new state-of-the-art Senior Care Center in the Valley.
