Gunnison Valley Health Welcomes Radiologist William Graf

Gunnison Valley Health is pleased to announce that on December 5, 2022, Dr. William Graf, MD joined the medical staff as a full-time general radiologist. Dr. Graf’s extensive background includes serving for over 27 years in the United States Navy, including as a staff radiologist at the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton for the past three years.
According to Gunnison Valley Health CEO, Jason Amrich, Dr. Graf will add a diverse skill set to Gunnison Valley Health.
“Dr. Graf brings a wealth of experience to Gunnison Valley Health and will support our radiology department to continue offering superior imaging services in the Gunnison Valley,” Amrich said. “Not only does his experience create a solid foundation for the radiology department, but he is also committed to continual growth and learning to ensure that he is meeting the specific needs of our community.”
In addition to his experience in both military and civilian medical facilities, Dr. Graf recently completed breast imaging training with Invision Sally Jobe. His expanding knowledge base will support a breadth of services for men, women and children in the valley.
According to Gunnison Valley Health Director of Imaging, Brett Bruce, Dr. Graf’s skill and leadership will be an incredible asset to the health system’s patients, staff and non-profit partners.
“As medical director of radiology at Gunnison Valley Health, Dr. Graf will support the radiology team to continue improving and expanding imaging services for the community,” Bruce said. “His knowledge, experience and collaborative approach will support our work with local healthcare providers and non-profit organizations to continue advancing lifesaving programs and services.”
For Dr. Graf, the move to the Gunnison Valley is an opportunity to continue his successful career while establishing roots in an area he loves.
“I have been visiting the valley for years and can’t think of a better place to call home,” Graf said. “We are building a home in Crested Butte, and I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside my colleagues at Gunnison Valley Health for years to come.
