Registration for Gunnison Valley Health’s annual low-cost blood testing events opened on Monday, April 24. The events will take place on June 7, 8 and 9 at the Fred Field Center in Gunnison and on June 13, 14 and 15 at the Queen of All Saints Parish Hall in Crested Butte.
Registration will close at 4 p.m. the day prior to each event. Registration is available online at www.gunnisonvalleyhealth.org/wellness or by calling 1-800-217-5866. Phone registration is available Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
According to Gunnison Valley Health Marketing and Communications Director, Joelle Ashley, pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
“Although we will accept walk ins, we are anticipating high attendance at the events so registering in advance will help you get through the line faster,” Ashley said. “Our goal is to ensure that every person who wants to take advantage of the testing is able to do so quickly and efficiently.”
Additionally, Gunnison Valley Health is looking for volunteers to help at the events in Gunnison.
“We rely on volunteers to help with registration and support the people drawing blood,” Ashley said. “We typically see well over 1,000 people at the events in Gunnison and it takes a lot of support to get everyone through the line for testing.”
If you are interested in volunteering at the events, contact Joelle Ashley at jashley@gvh-colorado.org or 970-642-8417.
