Gunnison Valley Health Announces 2023 Low-Cost Blood Testing Event Dates

In June of 2023, Gunnison Valley Health will once again host low-cost blood testing events in Gunnison and Crested Butte. The events are a part of the health system’s community wellness initiatives designed to create an opportunity for people in the Gunnison Valley to access affordable health screenings.

Gunnison Valley Health CEO, Jason Amrich, said the events are one piece of a larger set of wellness initiatives.

“At Gunnison Valley Health, we are not only committed to providing high quality healthcare services, but we also want to offer education and accessible services to all,” Amrich said. “These blood testing events are one way that we can offer the community access to affordable health screenings.”

Gunnison Valley Health’s Marketing and Communications Director, Joelle Ashley, said the blood testing events in both Gunnison and Crested Butte will take place in June in order to keep a consistent schedule.

“We know that many people plan their annual wellness visits around these blood testing events,” Ashley said. “Our goal moving forward is to continue hosting the events in early summer, so people are able to reestablish a schedule.”

In Gunnison, low-cost blood testing will take place on June 7, 8 and 9 from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. and in Crested Butte on June 13, 14 and 15 from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Queen of All Saints Parish Hall.

Ashley said that registration for the events will open in the spring and will be available online and by phone.
