Gunnison Valley Health Announces Angela Kobel, MBA, MAcc as Chief Financial Officer

Gunnison Valley Health recently announced Angela Kobel, MBA, MAcc as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the health system. Kobel comes to the Gunnison Valley from Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo, Colorado where she has served as CFO since 2019. 

Gunnison Valley Health CEO, Jason Amrich, said that Kobel will bring incredible experience and expertise to Gunnison Valley Health which will support the financial health and stability of the health system well into the future. 

“Angela is a successful, collaborative and experienced leader who brings a diverse skill set to our health system,” Amrich said. “Angela is an approachable and creative leader who has been successful in her career at, not only a critical access hospital, but a rural health system that includes a skilled nursing and assisted living facility.” 

Throughout Kobel’s tenure at Lincoln Community Health, Angela has led a rebuild of their revenue cycle department, stabilized cash on hand through a variety of process improvements, worked through the implementation of a new electronic health record and developed a strong network of resources to support her work. Kobel’s career as a CFO has been exclusively working in healthcare and she has consistently functioned as a forward-thinking leader who is able to consistently deliver financial performance through cost savings measures, enhanced organization financial procedures and the development of talented teams. 

Kobel and her family are thrilled to have the opportunity to join the community and immerse themselves in all that the valley has to offer.

Kobel will officially begin her role as Gunnison Valley Health CFO on August 14, 2023.
