Gunnison Valley Health’s New Phone Tree System Enhances Patient Experience

  • Posted On:

At Gunnison Valley Health, we are committed to continuously improving the care and services we provide to our community. One of our latest initiatives is the development and implementation of a new phone tree at our hospital, designed to make it easier for you to quickly access the information and departments you need. With this new system, we aim to streamline the calling experience and ensure that everyone who contacts us can get the support they need—faster and more efficiently.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we worked closely with our Patient and Family Advisory Council during the design of this update. By incorporating feedback from patients and families, we’ve tailored the new system to better meet the needs of our community. After analyzing call data, we optimized the phone system to handle the most common inquiries in the most effective way, ensuring a smoother experience for both patients and our internal teams.

Starting October 9, when you call Gunnison Valley Health, you’ll be greeted with clear, simple options to guide you to the right department.

Here’s what the new system will say:

"Thank you for calling Gunnison Valley Health. If this is an emergency, please hang up now and dial 911."

For language and department options:

  • Para española, press 1
  • For Medical Records, press 2
  • For Billing Inquiries, press 3
  • For Order Status or Insurance Pre-Authorization, press 4
  • For all other inquiries or to speak with an operator, press 5

At Gunnison Valley Health, your experience matters. We are excited to continue making improvements to serve you better, every day.
