Gunnison Valley Health Announces CFO Transition: Angela Kobel Departs, Ginette Sebenaler Named Interim CFO

Gunnison Valley Health has announced a leadership transition. Chief Financial Officer Angela Kobel will step down from her role, with her last full-time day on February 28, 2025, and her final part-time day on March 14, 2025.

“Angela has been a dedicated leader at Gunnison Valley Health. We deeply appreciate her service and commitment to our organization and community,” said Jason Amrich, CEO of Gunnison Valley Health. “We wish her all the best in her next chapter.”

To ensure continuity and maintain the momentum of GVH’s key initiatives, including the Epic electronic health record system implementation and revenue cycle improvements, GVH has named Ginette Sebenaler, CPA, CHFP, as interim CFO, effective February 17, 2025.

Sebenaler brings more than 17 years of healthcare finance leadership experience. She previously served as CFO at Aspen Valley Hospital, where she helped stabilize finances, navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and implement the Epic electronic health record system. She is also the founder and owner of Key CFO Solutions, LLC, specializing in healthcare financial services.

“Ginette’s extensive experience and her strong background in healthcare finance—particularly in critical access hospital settings—make her well-suited to guide us through this transition,” Amrich said. “Her leadership, combined with the strength of our existing teams, will ensure we continue to advance our financial initiatives without disruption.”

GVH will conduct a nationwide search for a permanent CFO and will keep the community informed as recruitment progresses.

“This transition marks a new chapter for our organization, and I am confident that with Ginette’s leadership and the dedication of our team, we will continue to serve our community with excellence,” Amrich said.
