Exciting changes are on the horizon at Gunnison Valley Health! Starting May 3, 2025, we’re upgrading to Epic, the nation’s leading electronic health record (EHR) system. This change is all about improving your healthcare experience—making it easier, more seamless and more connected than ever before.
Through UCHealth’s Community Connect Partner program, we’re gaining access to top-tier healthcare technology while staying true to what makes us unique: being an independent, locally managed health system dedicated to serving our community.
What This Means for You
Epic brings powerful tools that will simplify your healthcare journey and give you better access to your medical information.
- One Unified Health Record – No more duplicate records! Your health information will be connected across all GVH departments and services, giving your care team a complete picture of your health.
- Easier Access to Your Health Info – The MyChart patient portal puts your health at your fingertips. View test results, visit summaries and manage appointments—all from your phone or computer.
- Simplified Billing – MyChart also makes it easier to view and pay bills, track expenses and manage your healthcare finances securely.
- Better Care Coordination – Whether you’re seeing a specialist in another city, visiting urgent care while traveling, or transitioning to a new provider, Epic Care Everywhere securely shares your medical records with other healthcare organizations that use Epic. This means fewer delays, fewer duplicate tests and fewer headaches when managing your health.
Bringing You the Best in Healthcare Technology
Epic isn’t just about making things easier for patients—it also helps our clinical teams provide more efficient, high-quality care. Real-time information sharing, streamlined workflows and smarter analytics mean that our providers can focus on what matters most: you.
“The implementation of Epic represents a major milestone in our commitment to delivering the highest quality care to our community,” said Jason Amrich, CEO of Gunnison Valley Health. “With Epic, we can provide a seamless, state-of-the-art healthcare experience while maintaining the personalized touch that our community values.”
