Compassionate Support for the Community and our First Responders
Gunnison Valley Health is contracted with Rocky Mountain Health Plans as a mobile crisis provider in the Gunnison Valley. The contract ensures that a trained mental health clinician from Gunnison Valley Health is available to respond to crisis calls in Gunnison and Hinsdale Counties 24/7.
When dispatched, our mobile crisis clinicians respond quickly and work with everyone involved to support safety and success.
How Do I Access Mobile Crisis Services?
Colorado Crisis Services will be the initial point of contact for individuals requesting mobile crisis services. Their trained professionals will assess the situation and coordinate the right local resources and people to respond to the situation. This program is made possible, in part, with financial assistance from community funding from Gunnison County, community grant funds from the Towns of Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte and the Public Service Grant Program from the City of Gunnison.
When a person is in crisis, they should call the Colorado Crisis Services Hotline at 1-844-493-TALK (8255) or text TALK to 38255. Their trained professionals provide free, immediate and confidential help 24/7, 365 days a year. No matter your issue or circumstance, this service is always here for you.
For more information, call 970-648-7128 or email behavioralhealth@gvh-colorado.org.
