Pregnancy

  • V2 support or PF press by “It’s you babe.” For pelvic floor varicosities and prolapse. If you have varicosities in your legs, there is a higher chance that you will have them in your pelvic floor. This brace can be worn if you have pain in the front of your pelvis.
  • Maternity Fit splint by “re-core fitness.” Helps pregnant women exercise through pregnancy. Can be worn three different ways.
  • Blanqi. Supportive tank top that can be worn postpartum as well. Gives support but allows baby to spin.
  • Mom EZ back support.
  • Mini Cradle by ”It’s you babe.” Low lying support/lift for pregnancy. Can be helpful for postural back or pelvic girdle pain.
  • Serola: Can be worn during pregnancy and post-partum for SIJ dysfunction.
  • Baby hugger by “Core products international.” Good for really large babies.

Postpartum

Binders are used to decrease pain, improve functional movement and can increase proprioception to increase recruitment of abdominal muscles for quicker recovery.

  • Better binder by “Core products international.” Doesn’t slide up as much. Can fold in half and wear as SIJ belt.
  • The wink. Body contours and eye hooks. Can be worn post-partum, post Cesarean delivery, or for diastasis rectus abdominis (DRA).
  • Abdominal binder 3 panels.
  • Abdominal binder by “Gabrialla.” Made with angora wool to help keep warm and bind.
  • Medi choice by current medical technologies. 3 Velcro panels - if short torso, may wear lower. Some short torso women do not find comfortable.
  • Bellefit supports. Has eye hooks. Can be used for postpartum vaginal or cesarean delivery, or for diastasis rectus abdominis (DRA).
  • Postnatal Fit splint. 2 Velcro straps to adjust.

Caesarean Birth

  • Bellefit supports. Has eye hooks. Can be used for postpartum vaginal or cesarean delivery, or for diastasis rectus abdominus (DRA).
  • The wink. Body contours and eye hooks. Can be used for post partum vaginal or Caesarian delivery, or for diastasis rectus abdominus (DRA).

DRA (Diastasis Rectus Abdominus)

  • The wink. Body contours and eye hooks. Can be used for post partum vaginal or Caesarian delivery, or for diastasis rectus abdominus (DRA).
  • Bellefit supports. Has eye hooks. Can be used for postpartum vaginal or cesarean delivery, or for diastasis rectus abdominus (DRA).

Labial Swelling

  • Sweet spot swell spot. Can be used for labial swelling. Provides gentle compression. Can easily be worn inside underwear. Can help with prolapse. At 20 weeks postpartum, should consider pessary.

Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI)

  • Pose impressa. Tampon like but opens up and supports the urethra and helps with SUI.

Sacroiliac Pain/SI Joint Dysfunction

For posterior pain:

  • Serola: Can be worn during pregnancy and post-partum. For SIJ dysfunction.
  • SI loc brace by “OPTP.” There is one for during pregnancy.
  • The compressor by “OPTP”/ designed by Diane Lee. Has directional load to help with specific dysfunction.

Coccyx Pain

Steer away from donut cushions as it puts too much pressure on ischial tuberosity bones.

  • Tush cush. Softer cushion like feel as compared to cushion your assets.
  • Cushion your assets.
    • Twin Cheeks. Adjustable width. Folds for easy transport. 3 levels of firmness: medium, firm and extra firm.
    • Women with tailbones that are closer to seat will like this better because it will elevate off tailbone better.
