Commit to Quit is a smoking cessation program designed to help you stop using tobacco and start living a healthier lifestyle. The personalized eight week program includes:

  • One-on-one consultation with a respiratory therapist.
  • Creation of an individualized tobacco cessation plan and education based on your needs and goals.
  • Customized nicotine-replacement recommendations and coping techniques.
  • Ongoing coaching and support in your efforts to quit smoking.

Studies show that smokers assisted by a healthcare provider have a greater chance of quitting smoking. Commit to Quit helps you to stop smoking by developing an action plan that modifies your behavior and includes coping techniques to eliminate tobacco.

This is what happens when you quit smoking:

After 20 minutes: Your blood pressure returns to normal.

After 8 hours: The amount of oxygen in your blood returns to normal.

After 24 hours: Your chance of having a heart attack decreases.

After 48 hours: Your sense of smell and taste begins to improve.

After 3 months: Your lungs function up to 30% better

Within 6-8 months: Coughing, sinus congestion and fatigue may decrease.

At 1 year: Your risk of dying from a heart attack is cut in half.

At 10 years: Your risk of dying from lung cancer is cut in half.
